Acryl Extra

Acryl Extra is a high-quality sealant, filler and repair compound based on acrylic dispersion technology. It is immediately rain-resistant, offers excellent paintability and is specifically designed for exterior use. The product cures through evaporation of water from the compound to form a durable, permanently plasto-elastic rubber.

Applications:

• As a rain-resistant joint sealant, filler and repair compound for sealing, filling and repairing joints, shrinkage joints, gaps, cracks and small holes in exterior areas where rainfall may occur.
• Specifically suitable for exterior use and also highly suitable for indoor applications.
• Sealing perimeter joints around façades, window and door frames, electrical boxes and penetrations, as well as connection joints along walls, ceilings, battens, skirting boards, panelling, stairs, boards, mouldings, profiles, wall cladding, ornaments, panels, window sills, overhangs, fascia boards, parapets and more.
• Filling and repairing cracks, shrinkage joints, gaps, fractures and drill, nail and screw holes in façades, walls and ceilings.
• Sealing joints between metal components, for example in air-duct, vehicle-body, trailer, ship and container construction.
• Suitable for most substrates, including wood, plywood and multiplex, insulation materials, hardboard and softboard, paint and coating systems, plaster, render, sprayed finishes and masonry, aerated concrete, sand-lime brick, plasterboard, metals and more.

Properties:

• Immediately rain-resistant; ideal for exterior applications where rainfall may occur.
• Durable and permanently plasto-elastic, with a maximum movement capability of 12.5%.
• Excellent adhesion without primer to most substrates, including damp porous surfaces.
• Excellent workability for versatile filling, sealing and repair with a single product.
• Can be overpainted after skin formation (approx. 10 min.) with synthetic and dispersion paints.
• Cures virtually odourlessly; CE-certified acrylic dispersion joint sealant and filler.
• Durably colourfast and resistant to weathering, frost (down to -15 °C) and ageing.
• Non-corrosive to metals.
• Very low emissions, certified to VOC emission class A+.
