Sili 1040 is a neutral, one-component, versatile, mould-resistant and plasticiser-free silicone sealant for construction, glazing, façade, sanitary, natural stone and swimming-pool joints. It cures through atmospheric moisture to form a durable, permanently elastic rubber.

Applications:
- Connection joints between natural stone and highly absorbent substrates such as marble, granite, Belgian bluestone and concrete.
- Antibacterial sealing in sanitary and damp areas such as showers, bathrooms and kitchens.
- Sealing applications in slaughterhouses, cold and freezer rooms, laboratories, hospitals and pharmaceutical environments.
- Sealing between glass and joinery.
- Connection and expansion joints between joinery and masonry.
- Bonding and sealing mirrors.
Properties:
- Does not cause edge-zone contamination or staining on porous and absorbent substrates such as natural stone and concrete.
- Plasticiser-free.
- Suitable for direct contact with food.
- Good primerless adhesion to most substrates, including aluminium, concrete, brick, natural stone, plasterwork, wood, glass, galvanised steel, PVC, polyester and glazed tiles.
- Durable and permanently elastic with a maximum movement capability of up to 25%.
- Compatible with most PVB films.
- Good resistance to UV radiation and a wide range of weather conditions.
