Sili DC

Sili DC Vitrine is a highly weather-resistant, durable and neutral-curing silicone sealant specially developed for general glazing and for sealing curtain walls and other façade systems. It cures through atmospheric moisture to form a durable, permanently elastic rubber.

Applications:

• Specially developed for movement joints in structural glazing constructions.
• As a durable, highly weather-resistant sealant in façade construction, including structural and curtain-wall systems.
• Highly elastic sealing of movement joints in construction and glazing systems.
• Sealing perimeter joints around façades, frames, panels, sheets, windows, prefabricated elements and other building components.
• Glazing sealant for top and heel sealing in building glazing systems in accordance with NEN 3576 / NPR 3577.
• Repair sealant for damaged silicone joints in façade, construction and glazing systems.
• Suitable for primerless application to coated glass, powder coatings, galvanised steel, stainless steel, coated and anodised aluminium, copper, PVC, PMMA, PC, concrete, masonry and most other porous and non-porous substrates.

Properties:

• Durably and permanently elastic with a maximum movement capability of 25%.
• Excellent weather resistance; virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone and/or extreme temperatures, providing outstanding ageing resistance.
• Superior primerless adhesion to a wide range of construction materials.
• Neutral, acid-free and virtually odourless curing; CE-certified silicone system.
• Meets the requirements for burglar-resistant glazing in accordance with the Dutch Police Quality Mark for Secure Housing.
• Non-corrosive to metals.
• Compatible with direct contact with PVB film in laminated glass and the edge seals of insulating glass units.
• Contains no organic plasticisers and/or solvents.
• Excellent application properties, smooth extrusion at low temperatures and low stringing.
• Excellent rheology.
